No Go

We are not getting that house anymore. :( I am extremely sad but after the inspection we got, it would cost way more than we could ever afford to fix it. I'm hoping we can find another house and be in before the end of the year. If we don't get our tax credit with our return then we'll be in trouble! Pray for us please!

I'm sorry about the house. I'm sure you're devastated! We'll pray for you.

The "as-is" thing is something a lot of lenders are doing now. Not just for the short sale homes. It does make me wonder why the banks allowed the home inspection if they were selling it that way. I guess simply as a means of information to the buyer. Kind of to let the buyer know you get what you get and you don't throw a fit.

There are some banks that are going to extremes and are only allowing cash as-is sales on some properties because they're too high risk to finance.

I'm sorry it didn't work out, but it's obviously for the best. There's a better house out there. It may take some time to find it, but it can be found. I know it's hard to hear, but things happen in the Lord's time. Not our time and when we try to force things is when we end up with problems.
